OUR GREATEST FEAR

"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, talented, fabulous?"
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us, it's in ALL of us.
As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

                       Reiki and  Stress Relief

Stress has been called America's number one health problem.  A prevention magazine survey found that almost 75% of people surveyed feel they have "great stress" one day a week.

It has been estimated that 75-90 percent of all visits to primary care physicians are for stress related problems.  It can produce a wide range of physical as well as emotional responses.  The following is a brief list of some of the common signs of stress:

  • Frequent headaches, jaw clenching or pain.
  • Neck ache, back pain, muscle spasms
  • Frequent colds, infections.
  • Rashes, itching, hives.
  • Unexplained or frequent allergy attacks.
  • Heartburn, stomach pain, nausea.
  • Chest pain, palpitations
  • Increased anger, frustration, anxiety.
  • Reduced work efficiency or productivity.
  • Weight gain or loss without dieting.
  • Excessive gambling or impulse buying.

Reiki is a safe and effective means to reduce stress.  The reduction of stress is one of the most commonly reported benefits of a Reiki treatment.

              Reiki and Modern Medicine

A 2008 USA Today article stated that in 2007 15% of U.S. hospitals offered Reiki as part of regular patient services.  This number continues to grow as more and more doctors, nurses and patients are being introduced to the effective benefits of Reiki.

                               Important Note
Reiki practitioners do not diagnose or treat illness.  Reiki practitioners work to release energy blockages, restore balance and energy flow.  When balance is restored in the body, healing can naturally take place.
Always contact your primary care physician if you are experiencing a health problem.
A place to learn, A place to grow. A place to heal.
